Courteney is a clinical social worker. Her goal to provide a supportive and safe place for her clients to explore your experiences, emotions, and ideas. She uses an individualized, integrated approach to therapy to help each individual recognize and honor their values, strengths and feel enlightened by new perspective. She helps her clients to make positive changes, whether they are currently in a moment of crisis, undergoing difficult change or feeling “stuck” from unwanted repetitive thoughts or behaviors. Her style is warm and incorporate fun and laughter — important ingredients for healing and growth. Courteney is committed to working as hard as her clients do to provide opportunities and skills for her clients to build resiliency.
Courteney received a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree from the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. She has trained in a variety of therapies and use techniques from each when working with both adults and children. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. When working with children she utilizes play and creative art therapies to help children reach their full potential by teaching skills to reduce social, emotional, behavior and mental health problems. Courteney is honored to walk alongside those who are seeking healing and peace.
