Randy has extensive experience working with adolescents and their families. He believes the relationship between therapist and client is paramount, and he works to join with clients so that the hard work can be done. Growth is not easy and trust and respect are necessary to accomplish important change. In his career he has found clients are trying to be successful and just need some help to get back on track. He is committed to providing that help in a safe and supportive environment.
Randy has worked in a variety of settings, almost entirely with youth and their families. The issues he has worked with include substance abuse, behavior problems, school-based problems, and mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. Randy is also comfortable with adults with all presenting concerns.
Humor is his chief coping skill and he brings that to his work. Randy's other interests include many outdoor activities such as backpacking, mountaineering, landscaping and tennis. He enjoys learning of almost any kind including learning about people.
